1. What is Teprenone (Renovage®)?

- a promoter for the activity of Telomere
‧Chemical name:Geranylgeranone, C23H38O
‧INCI name:Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride – Teprenone
‧Function:
1.Promote stabilization of telomere and DNA 
 2.Extend cell lifespan by 1/3 
3.Improves tissue quality by optimal cell interactions
‧Cosmetic Effectiveness:
Fights against signs of aging: reduces wrinkles, age spots and
 dehydration, improves barrier function
2. Why combining GFs with Teprenone?

‧GFs work as signals of instructing a cell to grow, divide, etc. An
 external effort for the cell.
‧Renovage increases the activity of cell itself, so that to develop an
uppermost cellular function and extra lifespan. An internal effort for
 the cell.
‧Results in a synergistic effectiveness.

3. More information about Telomere:

- a new scope in anti-aging science
‧A telomere is a region of DNA at the end of a chromosome.
‧On each cell division, chromosome would lose part of telomere to
make sure the whole DNA duplication is complete.
‧Thus telomere shortens accompanied with cell division. Around 50
times after, the cell would be exhausted.
‧Telomeres also protect a cell’s chromosomes from fusing together.
‧Telomeres themselves are protected by an enzyme telomerase, which
is abundant in stem cells, reproductive cells.

E. Blackburn, C. Greider, and J. Szostak were awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and telomerase.
